  2. It wasn’t the epidemic cholera from Victorian times. It was the non toxigenic vibrio cholrae. Associated with eating contaminated seafood or drinking contaminated water. It normal cases it causes gastroenteritis, worst case it causes death.
    This is unfortunately scare mongering by the media. You would have thought they’d have learnt their lesson during covid

    First case since 1901? I swear I read last year that a few people had caught it. Maybe they mean the first case from someone who hasn’t brought it back from their travels. Also that pepto bismol advert in the article just seems wrong.
