Here are the line combinations and starting goalies for Team Canada vs Switzerland

Team Canada has their second game of the 2026 Winter Olympics against Switzerland on Friday, February 13th, 2026.

Many players contributed to Canada’s 5-0 win against Czechia. Edmonton Oilers captain Connor McDavid contributed three assists to the victory. Meanwhile, San Jose Sharks phenom, Macklin Celebrini, scored Canada’s opening goal which would serve as the game winner. St. Louis Blues goaltender Jordan Binnington would stop all 26 shots he faced, earning a shutout for his effort.

Here is everything you need to know about the line combinations and starting goalies for both Team Canada and Switzerland.

Team Canada Line Combinations

For the most part, the line combinations for Canada will be the same against Switzerland as they were against Czechia. After all, if it’s not broken, don’t fix it.

Team Canada Forward Lines:

Macklin Celebrini – Connor McDavid – Tom Wilson

Brandon Hagel – Nathan MacKinnon – Sam Reinhart

Mark Stone – Sidney Crosby – Mitch Marner

Brad Marchand – Bo Horvat – Nick Suzuki

Sam Bennett/Seth Jarvis

Canada has an incredibly deep team. After all, they have Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby as their third-line center. They also have Vegas Golden Knights teammates Mitch Marner and Mark Stone on the same line, which has contributed to their early on-ice chemistry against Czechia.

Ryan Rishaug reports that Seth Jarvis of the Carolina Hurricanes may come into the lineup for today’s game. He did not come out during the morning skate during the “healthy scratches” portion of the skate.

“No scratches came out which makes one think Jarvis may be going tonight. Rare to have no skaters to work out the goalies,” Rishaug wrote early on February 13th.

Team Canada Defense Pairings:

Devon Toews – Cale Makar

Shea Theodore – Colton Parayko

Thomas Harley – Drew Doughty

Travis Sanheim

Josh Morrissey (of the Winnipeg Jets) left the game against Czechia game with an injury. He did not come back. With that in mind, it’s likely that he misses the game against Switzerland. If that is the case, Shea Theodore should slot in, with Philadelphia Flyers‘ Travis Sanheim serving as the seventh defenseman.

Who is Team Canada’s Starting Goalie?

Considering that Binnington played on Thursday against Czechia, it’s likely that he doesn’t get the start against Switzerland. In fact, TSN’s Ryan Rishaug reported that Washington Capitals goalie Logan Thompson was the first one out on Friday’s morning skate for Team Canada.

“Thompson didn’t skate yesterday and backed up last night,” Rishaug shared on February 13, 2026. “Only pucks he would have seen in 48 hours would have been warmup last night. Seems to be taking it easy here so far, morning skate style work with goalie coach David Alexander. If he’s starting tonight not surprising he wanted to feel some pucks today with a 9pm start.”

Team Switzerland’s Line Combinations

Switzerland’s team features NHL talent from the Nashville Predators, New Jersey Devils, and Los Angeles Kings (just to name a few).

Switzerland Forward Lines:

Kevin Fiala – Nico Hischier – Calvin Thurkauf

Sven Andrighetto – Denis Malgin – Nino Niederreiter

Philipp Kurashev – Pius Suter – Timo Meier

Damien Riat – Ken Jager – Christoph Bertschy

Switzerland Defense Pairings:

Roman Josi – Andrea Glauser

Jonas Siegenthaler – Dean Kukan

J.J Moser – Michael Fora

Christian Marti

Switzerland Goalies:

Akira Schmid

Leonardo Genoni
