MALTA, N.Y. — A man is charged with attempted murder after a stabbing.
Investigators say Shayne Vaccaro, 22, stabbed an employee at a KFC outside the Shops of Malta late Sunday evening, after waiting for the employee’s shift to end.

Vaccaro then ran to a state trooper who was in the middle of a traffic stop to tell them what happened.
The 34-year-old victim was taken to Albany Medical Center with chest and arm injuries.

Vaccaro was sent to Saratoga County Jail in lieu of bail.
