Norway and Italy continue dominance in Monday’s medal count
MILAN, Italy (KYMA) – The United States added to its medal total at the 2026 Winter Olympics with a gold-medal performance in women’s monobob.
Forty-one-year-old Elana Meyers Taylor captured gold in her fifth Olympic appearance, tying the record for most Winter Olympic medals by an American woman. Meyers Taylor delivered a standout run to secure the top spot on the podium.
Kaillie Humphries earned the bronze medal to give the United States two spots on the podium in the event.
Host nation Italy continued its record-setting medal haul, while Norway remained atop the overall medal count with 28 as competition continued at the 2026 Winter Olympics.
