Just picked up this USSR railway atlas from a Tbilisi flea market. Each SSR has its own section. Here are Georgia and Kazakhstan SSRs

I’d be curious to know if anyone here is familiar enough with the geography of those countries to know if the map is accurate.

I’ve heard a lot of maps that were sold to the public had deliberate mistakes to make invasion harder, but the USSR’s maps for their own military were excellent

To be precise, this is a general atlas, not specific to railways. Its title reads “Minor atlas of the USSR”.
Soviet railway maps were subdivided by territorial railroad administrations rather than by republics and contained more detailed depiction of stations and railway types.

  3. It’s not strictly a railway atlas, but an atlas containing general small scale overview maps.
