Two more individuals who were placed on the international wanted list have been extradited to Azerbaijan, the Press Service of the Prosecutor General’s Office said in a statement, APA reports.

In accordance with the requirements of the Convention of October 7, 2002 “On Legal Assistance and Legal Relations in Civil, Family and Criminal Matters,” the motions submitted by the Prosecutor General’s Office regarding the extradition of Azerbaijani citizens Rauf Rustam oglu Aliyev and Natig Intigam oglu Ahmadov were granted by the Prosecutor General’s Offices of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Kazakhstan, respectively.

In criminal cases under preliminary investigation by the Binagadi District Police Department of Baku, reasonable suspicions were established that Rauf Aliyev committed fraud, causing significant damage, while Natig Ahmadov committed repeated fraud, causing significant damage.

For this reason, decisions were made to charge both individuals as accused persons, and since they evaded the investigation and went into hiding, they were declared internationally wanted. As a result of operational search measures, Rauf Aliyev was detained in the Russian Federation, and Natig Ahmadov in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Both individuals were brought to the Republic of Azerbaijan under escort by a special convoy of the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice.
