Spahiu: It is likely that Trump will soon visit Albania and Kosovo

Lawyer Kreshnik Spahiu says that Washington has appreciated the participation of Albania and Kosovo in the Peace Board.
On the “Frontline” show on Report TV, Spahiu stated that Albania and Kosovo have resisted European pressure, as EU countries chose not to be present in Washington.
“There are four moments that are somewhat invisible. First, Washington has highly appreciated that Albania and Kosovo have faced and resisted the European pressure, which has been extraordinary against the participation of Albania and Kosovo in the Peace Board, and the participation in Washington of the Albanian Prime Minister and the President of Kosovo due to the fact that they consider Albania and Kosovo to be part of Europe. Mainly, the EU has boycotted it, they have demanded that both Albania and Europe follow the same path,” he stressed.
According to Spahiu, lobbying is underway for US President Donald Trump to visit Tirana and Pristina.
“Second, there is strong lobbying, after Osman and Ramesh’s visit to Washington, there is strong lobbying for President Trump to visit Tirana and Pristina. There is every possibility that President Trump will soon visit Albania and Kosovo, considering it the most pro-American nation in Europe,” said the lawyer.
Spahiu underlined that there is also lobbying for the release of former KLA leaders, while adding that Prime Minister Edi Rama’s speech at the Peace Board was prepared with American advisors.
“Thirdly, we are dealing with lobbying issues, for the release of KLA leaders, this is a speech prepared with American advisors, to exploit the approach completely anti-KLA leaders, of the Europeans, who have interfered in the punishment of KLA leaders and the American approach is very critical. Fourth, Albania has been in the alternative, either it had to pay money, or send human resources. It had to choose between financial resources and human resources. I think it is the most appropriate solution. It is reasonable for Albania to participate with troops in Gaza”, concluded Spahiu.
