Uk Lushi: Osmani is misusing the US for another mandate, Kosovo would do well to elect Thaçi as president

Activist in the United States of America, Uk Lushi, has said that President Vjosa Osmani is ”misusing” the US, ”in her campaign” for another term as head of state.

Lushi also said that any citizen of the country who qualifies for president would do what the US demands and that it does not violate Kosovo’s interests, Gazeta Express reports.

“Kosovo would have done well to elect Hashim Thaçi as President, but if politicians in Kosovo do not have the courage and knowledge to understand this action, they should elect someone proposed by the opposition,” he said, among other things.

Lushi also assessed that leaders should be servants of the state, not turn the state into an instrument for career advancement.

Elect any citizen who qualifies for President of Kosovo and he or she would do what America wants and not violate Kosovo’s interests.

America also works with whoever puts Kosovo at the head of state. The President of Kosovo should reflect the political arena and consensus in Kosovo, not someone’s personal ambitions.

Parties in Kosovo should not fall for the claim that America wants a puppet candidate.

Kosovo would have done well to elect Hashim Thaçi as President, but if politicians in Kosovo lack the courage and knowledge to understand this action, they should elect someone proposed by the opposition.

Leaders should be servants of the state and not make the state an instrument for career advancement by campaigning with the sensitivity of the sincere pro-Americanism of Albanians everywhere.
