What if the Mediterranean sea was located in South America.

  1. Like the North America map, I believe these would look better flipping the water body left/right. Having the entrance at a lower point and the Rockies & Andes replacing Turkey, Syria, Beruit, and Gaza, keeping similar rainfall and current water flow.

Ahh, the southwest passage, which was fully completed with the building of the Peruvian canal which stands with the Panama and Suez and the 3 most important canals in the world

I want to build a canel on the bottom left, so it becomes North, Central, and South America

  4. Definitely some people, villages, and animals lost their homes. But new cities would emerge in the coast of this sea, and definitely there would be canals built to connect the Pacific & Atlantic with the Mediterranean.

Actually it existed in Miocene Age and was called Pabas Mega Wetland. It had giant caiman which could be biggest crocodilian to ever exist, giant carnivorous turtle, rodents the size of polar bear and terrestrial crocodilian apex predator which could walk bipedal on short distances and was hunting local ungulates

  6. It would have become Latin America 1,500 years earlier with Italy in such close proximity.
