Leaving out bird food, planting fruit bearing plants, not killing bugs.

No, for me being among them, I feel welcomed by them and like I am a part of/belong to them. It feels like going home. It’s familiar and mysterious all at once but my body recognises it and the trees and birds answer back.
It doesn’t make me feel insignificant at all. I feel extremely important and honoured to belong and to be in relationship with such a beautiful and wise system that is planet Earth.

It’s not just their height. Most of the trees that surround us have been here long before we were born and will still be here long after we pass on.

I once went fishing with some friends and ended up spending quite a while just marveling at the form of a white pine tree next to the lake. Trees are great!
