I just wanted to share my latest project with you 🙌

It’s a web app that let’s you create map posters like the one you see on Etsy but for FREE!

Link to the website: https://terraink.app/

Go and enjoy it and give me feedback please ^^

This is great! Can you please add a feature to turn off the text below to get only the map?

  2. Cool, because everybody else that comes here and says so then it turns out that it’s not free.

it would be cool if, 1) it could be possible to actually center or move the map before the rendering and 2) chose the size of the font.

    Great job though.

  3. This is so fun, thank you for sharing! I was testing out some places and noticed though, that some rivers weren’t rendering. From what I can see, the River Tay in Scotland is not rendering, for example. 🙂

That is pretty cool, Bravo, if you pt in small towns and villages, reduce your scale you can have a lovely themed map of things like housing estates and hamlets.

    Really cool!

My only gripe is that waterline and distinct water colour is missing. Except maybe for your Venice poster? I could not recreate it with other cities.

  6. Would you be able to have the title be a different name than the map? I would like to submit a city but name it the region’s title

  7. why did you say Greater London and not just London? That’s just central London, just like the other cities…

  8. Ace!

Would be good if you had an option to remove the country name, or replace it with say the county/department

  9. This is great! Back to Open Streetmap to keep filling in buildings to populate my local area then…

  10. This is 🔥

The only feedback I have is that the display city field is not so useful – you can change it, but it defaults back to whatever the default is for the location.

  11. Really beautiful thank you, I’ve already made a series of all the places I’ve lived around the world as a beatiful visual journey

  12. I love this man!!!
I’m a complete non-techie. never used github. Could u tell me how to give a star there.

This is really well done! Just want to second what some others said about potentially adding x- and y- offset options, and also distinguishing the water from the land for certain colour themes (Halifax in your post, for example).

Extremely impressive work! Gave you a star!

  14. Very nice app, OP. I enjoyed playing a bit with it and changing the height to get nicer views.

    That‘s really cool.
Would be great if it would also display Train lines. Right now they are just not visible

That’s not Greater London, that’s just London. Westminster might be a more correct label as that’s positioned centrally in this map and the City of London is off to the right hand side.

  17. Awesome project. Just to let you know, as the size only accepts integers, some of the templates don’t work as they have trailing decimals.

  18. Does the link only open on computers, not on mobile phones? I can’t seem to be able to get to the URL.

  19. Hey! I would like to use this very much, but bumped to a problem when trying to generate poster: “signal is aborted without reason”
