In North Macedonia, six of the ten companies examined so far, all licensed to grow cannabis for medical purposes, are at risk of having their permits revoked because they do not comply with legal requirements. This was announced by the Minister of Health. Azir Ali In an interview with the television channel “Telma,” the minister did not provide further details or the names of the companies involved, explaining that the proceedings are still ongoing and that more precise information will be released at a later stage.

Aliu also announced changes to the regulations governing the medical cannabis sector in the country. The health minister had previously stated that the objective would be to verify all 43 licenses issued to date. This initiative follows recent seizures of large quantities of marijuana in the country and suspicions of irregularities in production reported in recent months.
