The country’s government approved the new package on February 12, 2026. Since the beginning of the great war, Sofia has already transferred 13 packages of military support to Kyiv.
The government is not disclosing details about the type of weapons, the volume and the cost of the assistance. The Bulgarian Ministry of Defense explained that this information is part of broader reports on the structure, weapons and capabilities of the country’s Armed Forces in peacetime and wartime.
Bulgaria provides military support to Ukraine in accordance with an agreement between the defense ministries of the two countries, signed on December 5, 2022. The Bulgarian Parliament ratified the document on December 16, 2022 and then decided not to publish the list of transferred weapons.
