A Story of Adventure and Acceptance

Glavonja follows ten-year-old Alisa and her older brother Milan, who experiences the world in his own unique way. When their parents mysteriously disappear, the siblings join forces with three young amateur detectives. What begins as a search soon unfolds into a surreal and fast-paced adventure filled with puzzles, humour and unexpected twists.

Milan’s distinctive perspective becomes the key to unravelling the mystery, reinforcing the film’s central message about the strength found in diversity and understanding.

Actor Martin Pišlar, who plays one of the young detectives, describes the film as a thrilling journey packed with secrets, riddles and laugh-out-loud moments, adding that it is perfect for viewers who enjoy mysteries and stories where children outsmart adults.

The talented young cast is led by Marta Mihanović as Alisa and Maks Kleončić as Milan, alongside Mark Spiridonović, Martin Pišlar and Andrija Lamot as the determined young detectives.

Directed by Marina Andree Škop, the film stands out for its stylised visual identity and imaginative world-building. Škop said the aim was to create a bold and visually distinctive film that would “plant the seeds of empathy and understanding” in young audiences while delivering an unforgettable cinematic experience.

The film’s striking look is the result of a strong creative team, including cinematographer Tomislav Sutlar, production designer Stefano Katunar, costume designer Zorana Meić and animation and VFX supervisor Michal Struss.
