A total of 28 people have been injured in two separate bus crashes across southern Israel, Magen David Adom said on Thursday morning.

    Eleven people were injured and 22 others rescued from a collision between a bus and a car on Highway 25 near the Nevatim Junction in southern Israel, MDA said in a morning statement.

    Firefighters from Beersheba also responded to the incident and rescued an individual from the car.

    Out of those injured, a 29-year-old woman is in moderate condition, and the 10 others were all lightly injured.

    All 11 of the injured individuals have been evacuated to Soroka Medical Center in Beersheba for further treatment, MDA said.

    Separately, MDA said that a bus overturned on the side of Route 40 near the Ramat Eliezer monument between Mitzpe Ramon and Shdema.

    According to MDA, 17 people have been injured and are receiving medical treatment on site. The bus driver and one passenger are in moderate condition, and 15 others are in mild condition.

    A total of 50 people were on the bus.
