Nikol Pashinyan: Armenia has no plans to close Russian military base in Gyumri

Yerevan has no plans to close the existing Russian military base on its territory, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said as part of his visit to Poland, Report informs via Armenian media.

“We have no plans, programs, or concerns regarding the presence of the Russian military base (in Gyumri – ed.). We are close partners with Russia, with very strong economic and political ties,” Pashinyan said.

He added that relations between Yerevan and Moscow are currently undergoing a transformation: “At present, we are shaping new relations with Russia.”
