I’ve been asking myself this question for several months while working on an independent documentary.

In Armenia, after the war and forced displacement, I met people for whom sport is not a question of performance or competition, but a way of holding on, of structuring oneself and sometimes simply of getting better.

I asked Tigrane Yegavian this question in particular as part of the film, and the answers pushed me to completely rethink the role of sport in fragile societies.

The documentary was made without production or financing, with the means at hand.

I would be curious to have your opinions:

– Do you think that sport can play a real role in the reconstruction of a society?

– Or is it an overestimated lever?
