  1. I don’t like that you have the map first and then the logo. Other than that pretty interesting stuff

never in my life have i heard about an action store in romania, but after i searched it on maps, yeap, they sure are here.

  3. Action doesn’t operate in the UK – but is owned by London based 3i.

As per a tongue in cheek FT article from 2024 – [“Britain’s biggest retailer isn’t British and isn’t a retailer”](https://archive.ph/KjDhX)

The Sinsay map threw me for a loop. Something about Germany being coloured one shade of grey and Italy an the entirety of eastern Europe being coloured the other seemed too familiar lol

  5. I think the Lerroy merlein map is wrong, there is a store in Portugal, I know there is since it’s relatively close to me

  6. I went to college with the son of the guy who founded Action. Was a cool guy. It’s been owned by private equity for over 20 years now.

  7. We need a damn DM in the Netherlands. Tired of overpriced Kruidvat and Etos.
My oldest works at Action, they treat him real good. Told him stick with them till you are done with school

  8. Just an interesting bit of information: the carrefour logo is using negative space. It’s actually a “C”.

  9. Still waiting for Tesco to be in Croatia so i don’t have to go to Hungary everytime I want their cheese
