The European Union (EU) is preparing to expand the free roaming network it launched in 2017 and include Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, Northern Macedonia and Serbia into the system. Once the proposal submitted by the European Commission is approved, travelers between the parties will have mobile communications at no extra cost. Türkiye is not included in this free communication network.

Marta Kos, the European Union’s commissioner responsible for enlargement, said in her meetings in Ankara that some works that will make life easier for Turkish citizens can be directly felt are on the agenda.
