Gandhinagar: Luxembourg finance minister Gilles Roth met chief minister Bhupendra Patel in Gandhinagar on Thursday. Both leaders discussed areas of mutual cooperation for long-term infrastructure and sustainable development. An official statement said the Luxembourg finance minister expressed interest in investments in the international finance sector at GIFT City.An official statement said that Luxembourg, with 115 banks and 8 trillion euros in asset management, has a presence in investment and financial services in about 80 countries. In this context, the delegation expressed eagerness to expand financial relations with India and Gujarat.
The statement said the visiting dignitary also discussed leveraging Luxembourg’s expertise in green bonds and green financing to advance the state’s leadership in green energy, green financing, and green growth.Patel invited the Luxembourg delegation to participate in the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit in Jan 2027 and the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conferences in South and Central Gujarat in April and June 2026.
