On Friday, Croatia secured an impressive and crucial 93–88 victory over defending world champions Germany.
Team captain Dario Saric led the way, finishing with 23 points and seven rebounds in 32 minutes of action.
Saric and fellow former NBA forward Mario Hezonja combined for 44 points, with Hezonja adding 21 points and five assists as Croatia’s second-leading scorer.
For Germany, it marked their first loss of the World Cup Qualifiers.
The two teams will meet again on March 1 in Bonn, Germany.
