Bankruptcy proceedings against Vipap Videm Krško were initiated on 25 February. The company’s creditors are requested to submit their claims by 25 May.
Slovenia’s publication and flexible packaging paper manufacturer Vipap Videm Krško is insolvent, once again. The District Court in Krško initiated bankruptcy proceedings against Slovenia’s only newsprint mill Vipap Videm on 25 February and appointed Sara Pušenjak Petek as the bankruptcy administrator, according to a publication on Slovenia’s business register Ajpes.
Vipap Videm is an integrated pulp and paper mill with two paper machines at the site in Krško. The company’s product portfolio includes newsprint, coated magazine paper, flexible packaging and wrapping paper, and recycled kraft papers.
According to the Slovenian Press Agency (STA) Vipap had already halted production in mid-December due to a lack of funds and temporarily laid-off the majority of its employees. The production downtime was originally meant to last until the end of January.
