Belarus is shocked by the death of dozens of children in the attack on Iran. This is stated in a statement by the Foreign Ministry in connection with the deaths of civilians as a result of the escalation of the conflict in the Middle East.

“In connection with the start of joint military actions by the United States and Israel against Iran, we strongly condemn any armed actions leading to the death of civilians, including as a result of the indiscriminate use of force. We are especially shocked by the news from the Iranian city of Minab, where dozens of children were killed as a result of an attack on a girls’ school,” the statement said.

The Belarusian Foreign Ministry stressed that “at these moments our thoughts are with the families of the victims, we sincerely grieve with them.”

“In this regard, we involuntarily ask ourselves the question: how can the death of innocent girls who dreamed of the future bring any settlement, even the most difficult political issue, closer? We are convinced that there is not and cannot be a goal justifying the death of children,” the Belarusian Foreign Ministry said.

The Belarusian Foreign Ministry also once again called on all parties to return to resolving differences exclusively through political and diplomatic means.

“We believe that the international community should make every effort to prevent the deaths of civilians and the escalation of violence,” the Belarusian diplomats noted.

Recall, on February 28, the United States and Israel launched a military campaign against Iran. During the joint US-Israeli strike, one of the missiles hit a school in the city of Minab. As a result, there are already more than 100 dead children.
