Prime Albin Kurti has called an emergency meeting of the Security Council last night to discuss the latest tensions in the Middle East and the United States’ “Epic Fury” operation against Iran.

“The institutions of the Republic of Kosovo stand steadfastly alongside our friends and strategic allies, and in particular the United States of America, in efforts to maintain international peace, security and stability,” the press release states.
According to him, US actions against the regime’s objectives in Iran are directed towards preventing escalation and limiting destabilizing capacities in the region.
“The Republic of Kosovo, in line with its Euro-Atlantic orientation and close partnership with the United States of America, supports the actions taken by the US against the objectives of the Ayatollahs’ regime in Iran, assessing them as measures aimed at preventing further escalation and limiting destabilizing capacities in the region,” Kurti said.
Kosovo also expresses solidarity with the people of Iran and their aspirations for freedom and fundamental rights.
“The Republic of Kosovo expresses its solidarity with the people of Iran and their legitimate aspirations for freedom, dignity and fundamental rights,” the Prime Minister declared.
Kosovo institutions have taken all measures to maintain order and security in the country, while closely monitoring international developments and the implications for the region.
“We call on the citizens of the Republic of Kosovo to remain calm and to be informed only through official channels and credible sources of information, and not to fall prey to disinformation and propaganda aimed at destabilizing the country and creating insecurity,” Kurti stressed.
Kosovo confirms its commitment as a reliable partner of the Euro-Atlantic community and will continue to contribute to global peace, security and stability. /Telegrafi/
