DARA has been in Stockholm, Sweden working on her performance for the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 in Vienna, Austria.

Posting on social media, DARA has revealed that she is working with Fredrik Rydman on her performance for the Eurovision Song Contest. Speaking with BNT on Sunday, following the song “Bangaranga” being chosen as her entry for Eurovision, DARA explained:

I’m prepared with all the outfits, we have a team that is ready with different concepts. We are prepared with everything. I expect to find out as soon as possible when exactly I will be filming, but I’m leaving for Stockholm soon, because the same director is there with whom we will be working. And now everything is still going to change. The dancing, the stage, the costumes,”

In a social media post today, she revealed she has been meeting with Frederik Rydman, who will stage her performance. Frederik has stage two Eurovision-winning performances, “Heroes” (Sweden 2015) and “The Code” (Switzerland 2024), while in 2025, he was the Creative Director for the French and Albanian performances.

DARA will perform “Bangaranga” for Bulgaria at the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 in Vienna. Dara will perform in the first half of the second semi-final on May 14.

Bulgaria in the Eurovision Song Contest+

At the Eurovision Song Contest 2017, 17-year-old Kristian Kostov finished in second place in the Grand Final. Bulgaria has qualified for the Grand Final five times out of thirteen attempts at the contest. Bulgaria debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in Kyiv, Ukraine in 2005. The country competed annually from 2005 to 2013, before withdrawing for two years due to financial issues. Since returning to the contest in 2016, Bulgaria qualified for the final in every contest they have competed in up until the 2022 contest.
