Lithuania is Ready to Assist in the U.S. War in Iran

    Lithuania is ready to send its troops to Iran at the request of the United States. This statement was made by the country’s chief foreign policy advisor, Asta SkaisgirytÄ—, as reported by the broadcasting company [LRT](https://www.lrt.lt/naujienos/pasaulyje/6/2856030/skaisgiryte-lietuva-svarstytu-pagalba-jav-operacijai-irane-jei-jos-butu-prasoma?srsltid=AfmBOorsbEME1EN2ToUnbyAh85mFcCk00PVsU5xHMwvpvoohiD9VvnJ8).

    “So far, we do not have such a request, and of course, if we were to receive such a request, we would consider it together with other allies,” SkaisgirytÄ— stated.

    According to her, Lithuania could provide military assistance to the U.S. in such a case, for example, by sending troops to Iran.

    Earlier, SkaisgirytÄ— stated that Lithuania trusts the U.S. ‘nuclear umbrella.’
