Álvaro Soto’s documentary "Spain’s atomic bomb: Islero Project" reveals the details of this scientific challenge through the voice of its director, Guillermo Velarde, who breaks his silence following the publication of his memoir ("Island Project. When Spain was able to develop nuclear weapons"Guadalmazán publishing house). Also participating are the co-author of the work and general secretary of the Nuclear Fusion Institute, Natividad Carpintero; the director of this center, Manuel Perlado; and the former head of the JEN isotope division, Manuel del Val. The sound portrait of the time is completed with abundant archival material from the RTVE Documentary Fund, the University of Vienna and other foreign organizations.
