In Poland, a large-scale nationwide operation by the police and border guards took place on March 2–3, aimed at identifying individuals who are hiding from law enforcement or residing in the country illegally.

This was reported by the Minister of the Interior and Administration, Mariusz Kamiński, according to RMF24,

During the operation, law enforcement officers conducted nearly 1,800 checks to verify the legality of foreigners’ presence in Poland.

As a result of the operation, over 140 foreigners who were wanted or violated residency rules in the country were detained. More than 700 officers from all regional units of the country participated in the operation.

Among those detained were 147 individuals wanted by Polish law enforcement authorities. According to the police, they included:

Additionally, 7 people were detained based on European arrest warrants and Interpol Red Notices.

Overall, the Polish police sent 112 requests to the border service, demanding decisions on returning foreigners to their countries of origin.

Polish authorities noted that similar large-scale operations had been conducted previously. During three prior nationwide raids in February, June, and November of last year, 4,766 people were detained, including 515 foreigners.

These operations demonstrate the systematic work of Polish law enforcement in combating illegal residency and maintaining law and order in the country.

It is worth noting that in Poland, a 17-year-old Ukrainian was accused of sabotage on behalf of the Kremlin.

Poland is also deporting Ukrainians following clashes at a Maks Korzh concert in Warsaw.

Police in the Polish city of Poddębice, together with border guards, stopped a Lexus in which a 37-year-old Ukrainian tried to transport two illegal migrants.
