
Retail prices for electricity and natural gas are lower than the European Union average, according to the monthly update of the Household Energy Price Index (HEPI), which compares prices in 33 European countries.
Τhe average retail price for electricity in Greece in February was 23.63 cents per kilowatt-hour (including taxes) compared to 26.13 cents, which was the average in the EU and 25.04 cents in Europe.
In purchasing power terms, the price remains close to the average (29.08 cents compared to 28.34 in the EU).
Τhe average natural gas price is 7.73 cents in Greece (9.51 in purchasing power terms) compared to 10.67 in the EU (11.31 in purchasing power terms).
