Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard has had a torrid season with injuries.

The Norway international suffered two identical shoulder issues in back-to-back games earlier in the season, and then spent over a month on the sidelines due to a more serious knee injury.

Odegaard then suffered a muscular problem before hurting his knee again, which has kept him out of the side in three of Arsenal’s last four Premier League games.

The Arsenal captain is still injured, but his country’s manager has confirmed that there is nothing to worry about.

Norway manager says Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard’s injury is not serious

Martin Odegaard is really struggling to get a good run of games under his belt.

The Norwegian has never had a season like this before, where he has had to deal with multiple injury issues.

That has made it very difficult for him, and if his country’s manager, Stale Solbakken, is to be believed, the Arsenal captain is likely to be out for a few more weeks.

However, the Norway boss has confirmed that the injury is not serious.

He said, as per the Mirror: “There is nothing serious about Martin. The most important thing is that he recovers completely and is good for us in the summer.

“For those of us who care about the World Cup, it’s not a disaster that he’s getting some breaks now.

“He’s going to rebuild and be crucial for Arsenal in April-May and maybe late March.”

The Arsenal games Martin Odegaard could miss due to injury

Solbakken has suggested that the earliest Odegaard could return from his knee injury is late March.

Arsenal face Mansfield Town in the FA Cup, Everton in the Premier League, and Bayer Leverkusen home and away in the Champions League before the 18th of March.

Odegaard is likely to miss all four of those games, according to the Norway manager, and there is a chance that he could be ruled out of the next one too.

Arsenal’s final game this month is on the 22nd, which isn’t quite ‘late March’. That is the Carabao Cup final against Manchester City at Wembley.

We’re sure Mikel Arteta will be hoping that his captain can be fit enough for that big game.
