Why does the title state “UAE airbase” when the first sentence of the article is “Iran said it struck a U.S. air base in the United Arab Emirates on Saturday,”

  2. DeusExMachina222 on

Just to clarify.. It was a US base that was located IN the UAE…a UAE base implies that Iran struck the UAE military

  3. WastelandOfConfusion on

I’m surprised they gave any apology at all after being attacked so viciously.

  4. StorageIntelligent64 on

they apologized. only the western media somehow forgot to say that the Iranian president said that he would not touch them IF they did not help the Americans anymore

  5. Iran’s president vowed not to attack its neighbouring countries, *unless attacks on Iran originate from their territory*.

USAF strikes on Iran are being launched from the UAE.

  6. >Iran said it struck a U.S. air base in the United Arab Emirates on Saturday, shortly after Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said his country would stop attacking neighboring countries.

As far as Iran considers, a US airbase in the UAE counts as territory of the country that is attacking them and doesnt qualify as part of the UAE, their neighbor.

Basically embassy rules applies here. A US airbase in UAE is considered sovereign territory of the USA.

  7. This is ridiculous. The US is firing from these countries. Ofcourse theyre gonna shoot back where the shots came from.

  8. theres no central command, from what i understand each ‘group’ in iran operates independently. i think thats why they could shut their own internet off and still operate fine

  9. I guess the Dubai international airport is considered a US airbase as well. Isn’t lying a sin of their religion or not?

  10. Any chance this is Israel/ US doing this. Iran must hv run out of missiles.by now

Wow, it’s almost like you can’t trust people that murder tens of thousands of their innocent citizens

They were talking about Oman, Turkey and Azerbaijan they came out and clarified that.

  13. Trump talks like a child but about some of the most matters in the world with literal lives on the line

  14. NotAnotherEmpire on

They didn’t say they wouldn’t hit neighbors, they said they would only hit neighbors if they were supporting US attacks on Iran.

    The UAE unquestionably is.

  15. “…after Iranian president’s vow…

Anyone that would believe his vow is just as stupid as anyone that would believe a vow by Trump.

Is the Iranian President still alive? Or just a puppet person someone says is president? Who says the country we knew as Iran is not fractured into smaller states?

I wouldn’t be surprised if command lost its communications with its military units

Dangerous timeline we are in. Both sides are fighting a self-proclaimed “Holy War.” Neither losing nor entering a truce are viable options when you are fighting for your god.

I cannot think of too many reasons on why Iran would retaliate in such a way. I heard it compared to Iran being mauled by a bear, only to retaliate on that bear by poking all of his other bear-friends with a stick.

I think they believe they can diminish support in the region, for a quasi US-Arab alliance. They could be correct in that calculus, though I see it as human nature to strike back when attacked.

There is also a far greater benefit to preserving a US economic alliance for the Arab states, and continuing this war will negatively impact the economies in the Middle East, Europe, India and China. Who knows, maybe there will be a more collective effort to dethrone the Iranian regime than we would’ve anticipated. It’s a disgusting situation. Bad guys beating up on each other, while the rest of the world’s economies start to spiral.

  20. I wonder, with all of billions trillions they got from oil, why not buy some air defense

  21. Where did the IRGC get the idea that attacking its neighbors would help put pressure on the US to stop? It had the opposite effect.

  22. StarStealingScholar on

They didn’t say they’d stop hitting neighbours, they said they’d stop hitting neighbours unless US is allowed to launch strikes from their territory. There’s a massive difference there, but these BS headlines have already spread like wildfire.

Are we to read that this means that there is no longer a central command?

  24. I have read that there are many underground missile sites in Iran. These are huge underground bunkers of large size. To defeat these, the USA should get some liquid oxygen tankers and drive them to an entrance. Then pump down this liquid oxygen(a non toxic gas) under pressure and in volume. This will reach deep down and most organic materials will combust and destroy the munitions down there. There are many ignition sources.
That will wipe them out rapidly
