Kuwait issues entry visas to Armenian citizens

Due to the situation in the Middle East, the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in Kuwait (jointly with Jordan) is also operating at a more intensive level. On February 28, Jazeera Airways canceled the Kuwait-Yerevan flight. And 19 of the passengers remaining in Kuwait are citizens of the Republic of Armenia.

At the moment, Kuwait International Airport is closed per instructions from the country’s civil aviation service. The Kuwaiti authorities, responding to the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia’s request, have issued entry visas to citizens of the Republic of Armenia, and Jazeera Airways has taken care of all passengers on the flight, placing them in a hotel and covering their food costs.

The citizens of the Republic of Armenia remaining in Kuwait are constantly in touch with the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia. The Embassy of the Republic of Armenia’s hotline receives calls regarding the situation, and citizens are provided with appropriate support and referrals as needed. Consular services are provided in a normal mode.
