Norway’s ambassador to Australia says the Nordic nation has proven to the rest of the world that carbon capture and storage is a viable technology when it has bipartisan political support and heavy government investment.

While debate rages in Australia over the long-term exportation of LNG and effectiveness of CCS technology, ambassador Anne Grete Riise said the matter was largely settled in Norway, which has been investing billions into the practice.
