After learning the identity of Azerbaijan’s representative at Eurovision 2026 a few days ago, JIVA, we can now listen to her entry “Just Go”, which was released today on the Eurovision Youtube channel.

A ballad from Azerbaijan

“Just Go” was released at 18:00 CET by the Eurovision Youtube channel. A power ballad about breaking up and out of a toxic relationship, it is the first Caucasian entry revealed this year, with Georgia’s song expected in two days, and Armenia’s still a mystery, with neither an artist nor a song officially confirmed yet.

Azerbaijan will perform in the first half of the second semi-final, for which three entries have yet to be released (Armenia, Czechia and Switzerland). Until 2023, the country had enjoyed an almost spotless qualifying record, with only its 2016 entry not making it into the final (but finishing 11th in its semi-final). Since Liverpool 2023, however, Azerbaijan has been on a non-qualifying streak which they will likely want to end this year.

An experienced artist and The Voice alumnus

Back in 2003 JIVA achieved early recognition, placing second in Baku Autumn. Over the years, JIVA has gained experienced locally and abroad, performing in jazz festivals in Switzerland. However, she has branched out musically into pop, dance and R ‘n’ B. Last year she participated in reality singing competition The Voice of Azerbaijan.
