There is a sharp rise in fuel prices in Latvia
The price of diesel fuel at the largest gas station networks in Latvia has increased by approximately 20% since the escalation of the conflict in the Middle East, while the price of 95-octane gasoline has risen by 5-7%, according to aggregated data from the LETA agency.
The average price of 95-octane gasoline at gas stations increased by about 5% – from €1.554 per liter on February 27 to €1.634 per liter on Monday. The average price of diesel fuel rose by approximately 18% – from €1.544 per liter on February 27 to €1.814 per liter on Monday.
Latvian gas station operators say that the situation with prices is difficult to predict even for a few days, and further price developments will mainly depend on the geopolitical situation.
