Prague will host Czechia Travel Trade Day 2026 on 20 and 21 April, bringing together tourism entrepreneurs, foreign tour operators, buyers and journalists for the country’s largest inbound tourism event.
Organised annually by the Czech Tourist Authority – CzechTourism, the two-day gathering aims to strengthen international partnerships and promote travel to Czechia.
Guests from more than 20 countries are expected to attend the event in the Czech capital, including several dozen travel buyers and around 20 journalists. The programme will focus on business meetings, networking and presentations designed to expand cooperation between Czech tourism companies and international travel partners.
The event connects Czech tourism businesses with foreign tour operators and buyers who are looking to develop travel products and new itineraries for visitors to Czechia. It also serves as a platform to present the country’s destinations, experiences and tourism offerings to key international markets.
“Czechia Travel Trade Day is a key event for us. Through it we connect Czech entrepreneurs with foreign partners and together we look for new opportunities for the development of inbound tourism. Prague is an ideal place for such a meeting – it is easily accessible, acts as a natural gateway to Czechia and offers an extremely diverse range of tourist experiences,” said František Reismüller, Director, Czech Tourist Authority – CzechTourism.
This year’s programme includes dozens of pre-arranged business meetings between Czech tourism companies and foreign tour operators, as well as meetings with directors of CzechTourism’s international representative offices. Product managers from the agency will also present tourism products and marketing approaches designed to attract more visitors to the country.
The first day of the event will feature a panel discussion focusing on current tourism trends and challenges. On the second day, participants will attend presentations highlighting Czechia as a travel destination and share experiences aimed at strengthening cooperation across the tourism sector.
“We have prepared this year’s programme to be as practical as possible and to bring participants maximum contacts and concrete results. We will offer business meetings with foreign tour operators and directors of our foreign representative offices on both days of the event, and we will also involve CzechTourism product managers who will present specific tourism products. We are thus expanding the possibilities of meetings and adding new formats that bring inspiration and a broader perspective on the further development of tourism in Czechia,” said Tereza Hofmanová, Director of Product Management, Research and B2B Cooperation.
The event will also include a gala evening at the Slavonic House in Prague, offering participants additional opportunities for informal networking. CzechTourism is organising the programme in cooperation with regional tourism organisations and Prague City Tourism.
Beyond Prague, visiting buyers and media representatives will also explore destinations in several regions of Czechia, including Central Bohemia, Liberecky, Olomouc, Pardubice, Plzeň and Vysočina. These familiarisation trips aim to introduce international partners to historical landmarks, traditional crafts and contemporary travel experiences across the country.
Registration for Czech participants opens on 10 March and runs until 27 March or until the event reaches capacity. Participants will schedule their business meetings in advance through an online platform.
Czechia Travel Trade Day is held in a different city each year to showcase the diversity of the country’s destinations. Previous editions have taken place in cities including Hradec Králové, Brno, Karlovy Vary, České Budějovice, Liberec, Plzeň, Olomouc and Ostrava.
As the country’s largest domestic tourism workshop focused on inbound travel, the event aims to strengthen international partnerships and expand awareness of Czechia as a travel destination among global tourism professionals.
