Georgian MP Levan Makhashvili welcomed Armenia’s position regarding Georgia, emphasising that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s statement presents an opportunity for Europeans.

Makhashvili noted that pursuing regional interests without Georgia would be less effective than working together with the country, Caliber.Az reports via Georgian media.

“Nikol Pashinyan’s statement is a good opportunity for Europeans if they want to break the deadlock and reset relations,” Makhashvili said.

He added that Pashinyan confirmed the current situation is driven by Brussels’ narrow political interests rather than pragmatic considerations.

The day before, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that Georgia represents a path to the European Union for Armenia and called on the EU to resume dialogue with Tbilisi.
