PSS, one of Slovenia’s two police
unions, went on strike on Thursday, with approximately 200
officers protesting in front of the Government Palace in
Ljubljana, where the government was holding its regular weekly
session. They want better working conditions, according to the
Slovenian news agency STA. PSS representatives, who represent
5,000 of the country’s 7,000 police officers, delivered a letter
to Prime Minister Robert Golob outlining their strike demands.
