EWY was running hot until cheetos decided to start a war.
That $150 billion Samsung profit dwarfs Apple’s record profit last year at $100 billion. And this was just a beginning, with Samsung was expected to make $200 billion this year, and possibly hit $300 billion next year.
That is, until this oil crisis hit. Without Middle East oil and LNG, LNG critical materials, Korea can’t make semiconductors.
This is why their stocks were tanking.
