KOSOVO- The first hearing against singer Besart Kelmendi, otherwise known as Gjesti, is expected to be held today at the Basic Court in Pristina.

He was detained on Wednesday on suspicion of the criminal offenses of “unlicensed possession of a weapon”, “threatening” and “damaging property”.

The spokesperson for the Basic Court in Pristina, Mirlinda Gashi, confirmed to that the Basic Prosecution Office in Pristina has submitted a request to the court to impose pre-trial detention on him.

The hearing is expected to be held starting at 09:30 a.m.
