Appropriately, Lainey Wilson’s new song out Friday is titled “Can’t Sit Still.”

Not only is the Louisiana Grammy-winning country singer promoting her new single this week, she’s also celebrating her first feature film, “Reminders of Him,” in theaters Friday. She attended the movie’s premiere in Los Angeles on Monday, wearing a lacy black jumpsuit with flowing sleeves and an attached train, her blond locks in a loose up-do.

The Baskin native followed that up with a Tuesday stop by the Grand Ole Opry to induct her friend Jelly Roll as an Opry star. Wilson herself received the prestigious Opry honor in 2024.

“If you’ve ever met Jelly Roll, you know this — the man you see on stage is the same man backstage, the same man in the grocery store, and the same man talking to fans who needed to hear they weren’t beyond saving,” Wilson posted on Facebook. “It was an honor to induct my brother into the Grand Ole Opry family last night.”

Jelly Roll is scheduled to play LSU’s Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge on May 23 as part of his and Post Malone’s “The Big Ass Stadium Tour Part Two.”

As for “Reminders of Him,” it’s a romance-tragedy-drama starring Maika Monroe, Bradley Whitford, Tyriq Withers and Lauren Graham. Wilson plays Amy, the assistant manager at Gage’s Grocers.

“After prison, a woman attempts to reconnect with her young daughter but faces resistance from everyone except a bar owner with ties to her child,” a synopsis from IMDb states. “As they grow closer, she must confront her past mistakes to build a hopeful future.”

“Reminders” is directed by Vanessa Caswill, based on the best-selling novel by Colleen Hoover. The film was shot in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, in April-June 2025.

“My first feature film I’ve been involved in, and this incredible team welcomed me into their world with open arms. It was an honor to play a small part,” Wilson said via Facebook. “Congratulations to everyone involved! In theatres starting Friday. Go get you some popcorn and turn up my new song ‘Can’t Sit Still’ on your way.”

Wilson, 33, previously had a recurring role as a country singer in the Paramount Network series “Yellowstone.”
