    Both our kids were mostly covered already. Come out to something like 4000 yen per child with a c-section. I’m sure that depends on the city and a few other factors, but I wonder what will actually change to make it so 100% of it is covered.

  4. I wonder how they are going to do with those central Tokyo expensive hospital, a birth at Seibo or Red Cross is almost twice expensive as what the government covers

  5. Don’t you already get reimbursed for the entire cost? Just had one kid and we got our money back.

  7. They will remove the gift incentive which most people use to cover the costs
    But it it’s totally covered it is still a work for families

  8. Watch them, they go through with it, having health insurance completely covers it and next year they go and use it’s an excuse to raise the health insurance payment from everyone’s salary.
