  1. In other news, Donald Trump Jr.’s investment firm, 1789 Capital, has taken a major stake in Anduril Industries. But that’s just a coincidence.

Also, Trump’s nominee for under secretary of the Army, Michael Obadal, spent two years working for Anduril before his nomination. He plans to retain his vested Anduril stock while overseeing an Army with billions of dollars in Anduril contracts.

Wait, is the US just naming things involved with ai and war after Lord of the Rings? Tolkien would be rolling in his grave.

God I really hope the next administration takes a really good look at these contracts. They have the ability to terminate for convenience; especially considering the glaringly obvious conflict of interest across the Trump family.

They added that even their nanna’s would piss themselves laughing if they actually said the words ‘delivery will be on time’ and ‘on budget’ out loud. So they wouldn’t

Ah yes Andruril. the company that investment firm 1789 put huge money into… which Trump Jr joined as a partner of in 2024. Totally just a coincidence that the presidents sons firm has invested heavily into a company given 20 bills in defense contracts. The corruption is absolutely nonstop and insane.

Could be a potential for something?

There’s really not as much innovation in the military complex as people seem to think. Just: A plane, but MORE stealthy. A bomb, but FURTHER range!

Reality is the future of combat will be made up of cheap robots and intel collecting tech.

I will admit though, some of the stuff I’ve seen from Andruil doesn’t seem too realistic. Like that one battle helmet. Surely the battery life and weight make it mostly useless in actual combat operations? Maybe for special forces?
