Hope MissioFest 2026, a 12-hour fundraising marathon in aid of Missio Malta, opened on Saturday morning, broadcasting live on local TV stations and on social media.

Missio Malta is the Maltese branch of the Pontifical Mission Societies, the official mission aid agency of the Catholic Church.

President Myriam Spiteri Debono emphasised the need to support those in need, stating that one needed to balance out the turmoil experienced in the world.
