There’s suddenly a huge hole and probably structural damage to the building. Did a car hit the shop or something?
I hope everyone is safe, it’s just seems crazy and such a shame considering they just reopened their cafe after relocating/renovating.

This used to be my local cafe holy shit
They’ve only just moved into that side of the cafe in the past three months, before that they were in the smaller building to the right of it.
Dark matter will interact with other matter in unusual ways, it can affect gravitational pull with destructive consequences.
Look mate, I was tired, I just rested against the side…
The front fell off
I have never heard of this place or suburb (I’m a new transplant to be fair) but I’m now momentarily extremely invested having been unable to find anything out about this. Didn’t see any NSW Police incident news in the last couple of days about it either.
It’s like “if a car (?) collides with a shopfront in suburbia and no one notices, did it really happen?”
The shops on a bender.
My brother drove past just before 5pm tpday, not long after it happened. Car failed to navigate the roundabout.
The driver realised too late that the cafe doesn’t have a drive-thru option
My mum tripped
You know I stopped in while walking through there once, thought good cafe but fuck the traffic is crazy for such an out of the way location. So yeah I expect cars. Always expect cars. They (or rather drivers) are probably the most likely source of harm to you caused by someone else.
That street is part of a cycle route I use regularly but I am always extremely cautions to keep out of the way of other vehicles at the roundabout. I don’t know why there are so many close calls there.
It’s a funny area. Just up the hill is Roach St, and it has a cross street called Gore St. I can’t help but think the town planners who laid out the suburb were having a bad afternoon the day they put it all together. They cursed someone to live on the corner of Gore and Roach. I shudder what it did to resale values.
