More reason for the Starmer and his Labour government to secure closer commercial ties with the highly lucrative EU markets for U.K. businesses. U.K. businesses that have been so badly hit by the massive commercial damage Brexit has inflicted upon them, and thus cumulatively the U.K. as a whole!

We’re trying to recover from 14 years of Tory disgrace but we’re just being sabotaged at every point by the Oompa Lumpa of Vengeance.

    Rejoin the EU ASAP.

It’s not clear what Trump even wants from us at this stage because we did finalise a trade deal that was to set the American tariffs at 10% as compared to the current 15%.

And he’s just launched a trade investigation into us that will give him the power to raise the tariffs to 25% or more.

Trump is not our friend and ally. Our future prosperity lies with Europe and always has

He insulted our military personnel too. Cut off all trade until further notice. Orange Spray-Paint needs to be punished.

oh no, the UK cant relay on MAGA to be our shield from reality, however will we cope?

Yeah I don’t think it’s in our long-term interest to bend over to Trump. He doesn’t wait fairness or parity. He wants *advantage*.

Europe, Canada, New Zealand, and Australia should be our focus.

If only there were a ready made trading bloc with around 500 million to export to…. If only

And he’s demanding we help out with the war he started and completely underestimated the enemy, nah, mate

Same man who insulted our forces in Afghanistan and told us he’d already won the war and didn’t need our help. Is now ruining our trade with tariffs. How about we finally put our foot down like Spain and show that we won’t be pushed around. His tactic only works through divide and conquer. If everyone stood up to them the US would be fucked. And there’s no better time than now.

Guaranteed the next. I’ll remove your tariffs if you send warships please

Seems like the Kings banquet schmoozing didn’t achieve its main objective.

Even once Trump is gone, the damage he has inflicted upon the US is going to take at least a generation to recover from (and that is assuming all those who come after him try to undo said damage). He has made the US unreliable at best and a pariah at worst. I suspect the longer the war on Iran goes on, countries will go from fed up with him to outright hostile and business with the US will start to slow down and reverse, with countries not wanting to rely as much on a country as unstable as the US.

First brexit it sabotage the economy, now this. People in the uk need to stop buying US products now!

Get back in the EU and started speaking to this orange fucker like Spain do.

They know how to deal with oranges, do Spaniards.

  16. Trump and his ilk can’t be gone fast enough. The Brits and the US here are allies and this clown is screwing everything up just to distract from the Epstein files

  17. Imakemyownnamereddit on

Now the orange POS wants us to bail him out of his war disaster, by deploying Royal Navy ships.

Starmer should tell him to jog on.

Europe doesn’t want us. We’re just a fucking problem they can do without. They might entertain us if Farridge et al are completely out of the political arena.

  19. doublejay1999 on

but we’re still restocking his bombers when they return here.

    we’re suckers, aren’t we ?

  20. It’s for the best that the US is pushing us away. It clearly isn’t a stable long term move to be closely associated with or dependent on the US.

The political instability doesn’t just disappear when Trump leaves office. Even if he dies, the battle to be his spiritual success and inherit the support of his cult will be brutal and chaotic. As will any administration then trying to prove it is the true guardian of his legacy.

  21. Do a Canada and look and deal elsewhere, Canadians on the us border have even stopped going to us neighboring states and those states are suffering while the Canadians are travelling to other places including euro Disney and they love what they are doing

  22. We have way cheaper and better connected trade with our EU neighbors why don’t we focus on them

  23. Fresh_Mountain_Snow on

Who’d want to try to do business with the US right now with the stop and start if tariffs. It’s massive uncertainty.Â
