Only a 12 day suspension for something even the commentators could barely defend
Should let the horse ride him for the length of a race instead.

He is an amateur rider who has had only 10 rides in the past five years according to the Racing Post website. 12 days is the maximum suspension under the rules but in this case it is moot because hardly anyone uses him anyway.
This is the same races where 3 horses were killed ..
Horse racing needs a ban not just the jockeys
It’s amazing people still try to paint horse racing as a civilised sport.
Honestly, I expected way worse, but only because the bar for horse racing is so low already.
People who hurt animals don’t stop with animals. It’s only a matter of time before he does this to a child, a pregnant mother, or an old person.
Between this and the Cruft drama, maybe more people might start to realise that treating animals as objects just so you can win a competition isn’t a good thing

This is not a sport, it’s disgusting. The only reason it’s not been banned is because it makes so much money for betting companies 🤢
The ban is far too short for such ill treatment of a horse.
No way you can look at these animals, frothing at the mouths and barely holding themselves together, and delude yourself into thinking they enjoy it. The animals aren’t considered at all.
