Trump’s call for Japan to send warships to Strait of Hormuz puts Takaichi in bind- the threat of becoming entangled in a longer-term has left Japan scrambling to effectively respond to a conflict that violates international law while staying in Trump’s good graces.

That’s what they get for trying to ride the MAGA trend
Time for all those Japan first folks to step into the frontline and defend their country right?!
I called it in the other thread.
Japanese symbolically bought the US weapons, they still belong to USA, Trump was just using Japan as a storage shop.
Hey Japan first you want that oil right? Better be on the frontlines /s
Japanese people having to die for Trump is just sad.
tell trump to go fuck himself or crumble with him
Just say Japans ships don’t have the range. Or better still, send one or two tha somehow have “mechanical issues” en route.
“Appears we used some American parts…”
looks like we’re approaching the era when Japan must learn to stand on it’s own feet again.
Why should Japanese people have to die to cover up the crimes of a child rapist?
During WW2, Japanese army was pretty good at fighting in mountains. I think it would be a decisive move to send all 150,000 JSDF soldiers into Iran mountains. That would surely overthrow the Iran regime.
The fact that Takaichi is stupid enough to even bother with staying in “trump’s good graces” should be an embarrassment to everyone who voted for her. He literally just fucks over anyone who isn’t the last person he talked to who was nice to him.
How would warships help this situation?
Trump will backstab you no matter if you help or not, better to just ignore.
Here’s a crazy idea, Japan, just tell him to f off in a diplomatic way.
so the article 9 will be ignored. trump and takaichi will ignore the constitutions then. ok. or, maybe takaichi will cancel the meeting, saying she has a cold. she is good at cancelling at the last moment.
