Screw them; their problem is of their own making. They keep pushing their colonists into the region and commit genocide against the Palestinians. Israel is no better than Russia.

  2. The were afraid that donating air defense missiles to Ukraine for fear that Iran could learn to circumvent Iron Done etc. Ukraine should voice the same sentiment in their refusal, while selling them to Gulf states that promise to put pressure on Iran to cease support to Russia.

  3. What would there be to gain on Ukraine’s side?

Another oppression of some far away people that borders on genocide? Further destabilization of the global economy that only serves to further divert Europe from the Russo-Ukrainian War? Setting the ground for another refugee wave which would compete with Ukrainian refugees for European hospitality?

  4. Pragmatically I think Ukraine should accept – with the proviso that they would be profiting handsomely from the deal.

Russia is being strengthened by this war, Ukraine should seek opportunities where it can.

  5. Lots of people say “screw them” and I understand that, but this is a golden opportunity for Ukraine to project soft power in the middle east.

You have pretty much all of the gulf states and Israel seeking Ukrainian technology and expertise for defense, this gives Ukraine a massive geopolitica and economic lever that would be too stupid to refuse.

The war in Ukraine made me realize that it’s all about national interests. Israel had no reason to provide assistance in Ukraine prior to this because Ukraine had nothing to give back to them – it’s selfish but true. Now that Ukraine has something of value, it suddenly will become in Israel’s interest to provide military, economic and diplomatic assistance to Ukraine. That’s the way it works.

Who would’ve thought 4 years ago when the war started that Ukraine would have such cards?
