ONEONTA, N.Y. — Plans to build an artificial intelligence data center in Oneonta are on hold.
Officials put a 12-month moratorium on the project, which is proposed for 357 County Road 9.
The decision comes after residents shared concerns at a meeting last week and presented more than 700 signatures.
Eco-Yotta, the company behind the project, bought the old farm property last year.
The moratorium temporarily stops any work on the site.
The Oneonta Town Board will hold a public hearing on April 8.
